The food was delicious I enjoyed the green curry I ordered and the pan-fried noodles. Service: The server was also really attentive to our friends' nut allergy so I appreciated how they went back to check if the dishes were nut-free. The service can be slow also. We waited a while for our food and they almost missed the last dish we ordered, so expect to wait after you order. Restaurant: The restaurant has plenty of seatings. They have Thai decorations on the wall which is nice to see. It also looks like they have the tables where you sit on the floor, but those were closed when we came. Parking: Parking around downtown Mountain View's not bad. We just parked in one of the lots nearby.
Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Our waitress was attentive and recommended the Khao Soi. The curry was very delicious as someone who enjoys coconuts though still kind of spicy. I decided to get it with chicken though I did not expect it to come on the bone. I think the food was pretty good but nothing too special, it was reasonably priced for its size and I would come back if I was in the area.
Took my little brother here because we are both obsessed with Thai food. Although we were disappointed we couldn't sit inside in the cool sunken seating area on mats (looks like it is permanently closed) we still enjoyed sitting outside on a nice day and having a bite to eat before going to see a movie. We ordered the fresh rolls (with prawns), larb (pork), and a small Tom Kha soup. Everything was really tasty and my little brother said it was one of the best versions of the soup that he has had. The larb was a big portion which was a pleasant surprise. I wish rice came with it but oh well, not a big deal. They have a wide variety of different rice options you can get on the side, including jasmine, coconut, brown, and ginger (the one we ordered). The fresh rolls were amazing and I liked that instead of the peanut sauce they typically are served with, we got more of a vinaigrette that was nice and spicy. It was a fun twist. $85 for two with tip was a bit pricey since the only drink we ordered was one iced tea, but I guess that's inflation for you. Service was friendly and efficient. They have a happy hour drink menu that features $10 cocktails. We would come back.
Located in Downtown Mountain View, parking is plentiful but may be limited at peak hours. There's a lot of seating and even an area where you can sit on mats. The noise level was relatively quiet. The pad see ewe and yellow curry were both very yummy. The flavor was delicious and rich. The curry got a good kick with mild. The chicken was good and tender but some pieces were a bit dry. Overall Amarin Thai Cuisine is a good place for some yummy Thai food.
Busy spot in downtown Mountain View! Came here in a Wednesday night and the restaurant was bustling with customers. The staff were friendly. I ordered Khao Soi, a chicken curry soup with noodles. Honestly the soup was overly too sweet for my liking. And it was Thai spicy (per my request) which was good. It was hard to finish the soup because it was just too sweet. I am not a fan of sweet curries, so it was hard to eat. I was unimpressed with the dish. I personally would rate this 3.5 overall and it's really pricey.
Not your typical Thai restaurant, as ordered something I had never tasted before. Came here in a group of 7 as part of an organized "meetup" social. Anna, our organizer shared spring rolls, coconut milk soup tofu, and house special fried rice. Liked everything but especially the house special fried rice, which had brown rice, pineapple, peanuts, peas and cucumbers. Even carnivores like vegetarian dishes on occasion. Wife ordered the $21.99 pineapple curry with prawns which came with pineapple, tomato, bell peppers, lychee, sweet basil, coconut milk and red curry. Rice separate from the triangle shaped curry dish, which came with four prawns. When mixed with rice, the dish tasted delicious. Ordered the $21.99 Hoa Mok Fish, a mixture of red curry, coconut milk, eggs, Thai sweet basil, cabbage and cod. The cod went well with the sweet red curry dish, which lent a lot of flavor to an otherwise bland white fish. Tasted like a casserole, something I had never seen before at any restaurant. When I first received my dish, I twirled my fork through the dish. Fortunately, I didn't put the fork in my mouth, as it turned out to be the catfish curry paste ordered another diner at the table.
